Customers want ultrafast delivery, and they’re willing to pay for it. While just 26% of U.S. retailers offer same-day delivery today, an additional 73% plan to add it in the next three years. That’s 99% of retailers offering same-day delivery by 2025.
Companies that don’t implement same- or next-day delivery should be ready to clear out abandoned shopping carts. Of that group, one-third plans to add crowdsourced delivery to help reduce the time between order placement and arrival.
